Hello, and many thanks to boxxed, PacerRep and ElectricFrank for taking the trouble to reply to my query about my pacemaker settings etc. I was given the pacemaker because my heart rate was very low, but at the time I was totally exhausted from lack of sleep due to an epigastric pain that occurred every night for 21 years. I'm grateful to have finally discovered the (very simple) remedy myself, and have not had that awful pain for over a month. Long may the relief last. Regards, dillymar

I know that pain myself. You might find one of the GERD meds like Prilosec OTC would solve it for you.
The older you get the more these neat little things show up. (:
