Mammogram

I was due a mamm. a couple of monthe after i received my pm but didn't attend as it was all new to me then n I was scared that it would fracture my leads. I was never worried that it would affect the programming as it only uses X Rays.
However, I did attend for one about 4 months ago, but firstly, I rang up the unit n told them of my fears. They reassured me that it was safe, and as I was due a pm checkup the day after, I worked on the premise that if it did affect my leads this would be picked up at the checkup.
so, it might be worth arranging it round a pm checkup, n mention to the tech that you have had a mamm so they can double check.

I asked my Cardio/EP directly about having a mammogram done, and he told me it is no concern at all.
I had my PM put in 7 weeks ago,and am having a mammogram done next week, which will be 8 weeks to the day of the surgery.I did tell the people I spoke to when scheduling the test about the PM,they werent concerned, and said to tell the registration person when I check in,and Im sure the woman doing the actual test will not only see the recent surgical scar, but will also hear from me that I just had it done.
I am not worried, piece of cake.Quicker than getting your teeth cleaned!

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
