Incision swelling

Received pacemaker 2 weeks ago. Now the incision feels spongy when pressed, it appears that there is a bump. Is this unusual and how long does it take to receed to the level of the rest of the skin around the incision?

I managed to have my incison dry for about 10 days. When I took the bandage off ,I saw that I have a very red incision (2 inches) and it has a bump...turn out to be a keloid scar (people can notice it pretty quick because I have a fair complexion) I had my PM on my left chest....I have done some research and I'm using vitamin e oil to massage it but of course I still have to wait for a while to see if it really works. You have to see your specialist and ask...hopefully it's nothing bad
best to you

Hi! Have you spoken to your medical care about your concern? Even if there is not a physical problem, your incision site is causing you stress. Stress is not good for heart health or your emotional/psychological recovery. Take care. Hopeful Heart

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
