What time to return to work

I am an custodian at one local church here in Columbia.  I just had a defibrillator placement on Tuesday 26 June 2012.

I was wondering when would it be time to return to work and will I be able to use cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers?

Ask your dr because they're all different, but most of them say we can be back to light activity as soon as we feel up to it, most do within a week. We need to baby the left arm for 6 weeks or so, no heavy lifting and no raising it higher than shoulder level. I think the buffer would be something you'd need to wait on for a bit because of the vibration and I assume it takes both arms. If you vacuum with your other arm, it should be ok as soon as you feel up to it but not with your sore side. Once you heal, anything goes.
