Another Dr
by Grateful Heart - 2012-10-21 06:10:45
I had a doctor who did not listen to my complaint of sudden pain while breathing which was more painful on a deep breath. This was 18 days after my implant. Everything was going well before that. I went to another doctor and it turned out I had fluid around my heart.
Please listen to your body and get another opinion.

See another Dr ??

Hi Traci I remember from your previous posts that you have had an ablation and a PM and that you have never been totally satisfied with the outcome despite going to ER for advice
When you talk about "the doctor". Is it your GP or your cardiologist ? In my view you need to see your cardiologist and firmly tell him that you are not happy and cannot believe that this is as good as it gets. If you don't get any joy try another cardiologist.
We cannot diagnose the cause of your problems on here, it could be loads of things :-
-- your PM settings
-- the drugs that you are on
-- new cardiac problems that may have developed
-- old cardiac problems that have been inadequately treated
Shout from the rooftops that you are not happy and you want someone to do something about it ( if they can ! )
Best of luck
Ian

If you are having symptoms and your dr is writing you off, it's time to get a new dr. I'd start with the gp. Say the cardio didn't find anything but... then document what's been happening and when it started. Don't be shy about asking for another cardiologist recommendation, esp if things started when you got the pm.
Where I live there is only one heart doctor

I hope one day soon I can climb my stairs or do house work without being tired, chest pain,or short of breath.
Can you travel?

Maybe someone can take you. It would be worth it for another opinion. Especially if he can make you feel better.
Good luck,

You know you're wired when...
Youre officially battery-operated.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.

I absolutely agree with Ian and TraceyE. Don't settle, there's obviously something going on.
Good luck and keep us posted, Cathy
