Can't say I have any dire issue lately, just a feeling of unease. BP and pulse generally in the 117/76 P83 area. Episodes of dizziness lately - going thru a number of ear/eye tests for the problem. When the episodes strike, BP and pulse are normal. More like I'm intoxicated rather than a "spinning" sensation. First 30 minutes on the treadmill today were tough-sore legs-- but I was able to put in an hour averaging 2.8mph w/a 1.0 incline. As the workout continued, I felt better. Came home, had a small meal - made sure I was hydrated -- then mowed the lawn (90+ deg and humid). As I progressed with the mowing, the lightheadedness eased and again I felt better. Chore took about 45 minutes. Sitting around seems to be bothersome (again, normal BP and pulse) (Pulse rose to around 130 - 135 while on the treadmill) Not sure how to handle all this. ---Thoughts?--

Clues2?

Thanks JoMarie for the hints! I forgot to mention the slight "tightness" sensation in my leg calfs that eases as the exercise progresses. BP this morning (9 hours after the Metoprolol dose) is 127/84 P86. I'll check out the Bisoprolol Buddies.
Maybe a clue?

I was feeling fine -------- I took my evening dose of 50mg Metoprolol at 9PM ----------- 45min. later, a constant "buzzing" in my ears --------- and a sensation of "lightheadedness." 108/66 BP Pulse 80. Metoprolol working too well?

Clues?

Having been on the merrygoround for the past five years and now have a PM, my own observation is that very many (if not all) of these lightheaded, tinnitus, short of breath, tiredness etc symptoms, can be laid at the door of the drugs rather than the PM.
There is a forum online called Bisoprolol Buddies which was very helpful to me and may be to anyone else on this drug along with their PM. I elected to come off all drugs after implantation and my doctor agreed to my taking either a blood pressure or an anti-arrythmic as and when I needed either of them. Most of the time now I take maybe one or two a month when I feel my heart become erratic or I have a spike in blood pressure. I am glad to say I am fit and well 95% of the time and have started all my old activities once more. If you think one of your drugs is the culprit, then you should voice this to your GP and see if you could try an alternative.
