Blue Moon

Hello Everyone - Have you all enjoyed seeing the "Blue Moon" which occurred last night? Here in Orange County is was absolutely brilliant and I expect it will be again tonight. Don't know what a "Blue Moon" is, you say. That is when there are 2 full moons within one calendar month. Doesn't happen too often, hence the saying "once in blue moon". Just a little trivia for the day. Blessings to each and every one of you!

My husband and I met on the Blue Moon in May of 1996.. We celebrate our wedding date on the same day, three years later. This way, both of our anniversaries are easy to remember. It was like old times this week. Thanks for sharing such a rare and wonderful event! I believe that there are 44 in a century. Blessings to you...............

Dominique....

you just totally killed the song. LOL!!! just kidding, hehehehe.
I never really payed attention to the meaning of the lyrics; I mostly just get annoyed at how I can have that song in my head for days. I just shared this information with my cousin, so you are enlightening many people.
Take care,
~valerie

Why thank you

Lyrics From Blue Moon.

The lyrics are presumed to refer to an English idiomatic expression: a blue moon is either the second full moon in a month or the third one when four full moons occur in one season of the year, which is a somewhat rare occurrence. If something happens "once in a blue moon" it almost never happens. The narrator of the song is relating a stroke of luck so unlikely that it must have taken place under a blue moon.

That's the lesson for the day! Whoa Whoa Whoa!
