So, this whole pacemaker thing isn't new to me this is my 5th? one I believe and I'm 16! anyways I had a new pacemaker implanted on February 14th/12 and everything was fine, it was starting to heal up really nice then i had 3 of the stitches from the inside show up on the outside to the doctor at emerg said just to cut them out, so that's what we did and now I have a really bad pain 3 cm above and below the incision site, now I went to my pacemaker clinic doctor's yesterday and they say its a tie down from when they did surgery or something? If anyone has experienced that please write me back. Thanks. :)

Tie down

There is a small hole in a part of the pacer that is used to stitch it down inside the pocket to keep it from going traveling under the skin. When you start getting more active it can pull on the tissue and be painful. Give it a bit longer to heal and it should settle down. It's also possible you have some more stitches working their way out and creating pain.
Having some of the internal stitches show up on the outside is also common. I pulled mine out with some tweezers. My comment here brought the sites nurse population out of hiding to bawl me out for doing such a dangerous thing. Apparently they have a way they hold there face when doing it that makes it safe. LOL
