How long until I can play golf after implantation?

You should ask your surgeon. Typical wait is 6-8 weeks. Maybe more if implanted under the muscle.

If I rememer right 8 weeks, like pookie said you want to wait to make sure your leads are adhered before swinging the club, the force of the swing could dislodge a lead. the good news is the first time I went I did better as in my mind I was scared to death and it made me slow my swing down, and I scored a better round. lol.
Ask your doctor to be sure and dont take any chances.

There are a lot of members who like to golf and if I remember correctly one has to wait quite a while before playing golf to make sure your leads are well adhered.

I just wouldn't want to see you have to go for another surgery, so it's best if you ask whomever implanted your device, then I'd personally add on another 2 weeks just to make sure.

One suggestion is to do a SEARCH (upper right hand corner) and you will get oodles of information on the subject if you type in "golf".

I love to play golf, and thought that's what I would do weekly when I retire.

Don't be surprised if you have extra pain after playing golf. My left arm and shoulder, and my chest muscles have all given me some discomfort. On a scale from 1 to 10 I'd say the discomfort is about a three (with ten being the highest pain.)

Clearly - if you want to play golf - you'll be able to do it, but don't be surprised if things are not the same. I've tried to do some weights and kettlebell exercises to help build those chest muscles and arm muscles.

Bottom line - you'll be able to do, but it may take additional exercise and patience.
