Well I have been for my 6 month check-up today, the Tec said that all seems fine, a few PVCs but very short runs and nothing to worry about.
I did ask for a print out, but he was not allowed to give them out, so if I want one, I will have to pay for a print out of the whole of my hospital records. Next appoint in one year.
Anyway a tad concerned with my last interrogation compared with todays, when if you recall I reported the lady Tec said Good news, we have made quite a few changes, it appears that you are only using the atrial lead 100% youre ventricle lead is not being used at present, as your own heart is working that part OK set at 60 140 RR on with 6 years battery life.
Whats all that about, I had a different Tec today he was most helpful, he even turned the monitor round for me to see what was happening; I am being paced 2% Atrial and 98% Ventricle.
I wonder what the last Tec was looking at, as it certainly was not my pacemaker info, she also said set at 60 140 and 6 years battery life, I saw with my own eyes 60 130 RR off and 8 years battery life.
I dont know what is going on, at least I can believe what I saw today. I still feel slightly fatigued and SOB, so will have to go to see my GP.
I hope you all have a great coming weekend - Len

Which tech?

Is it possible the first tech was reporting the results of the interrogation which showed the results of the setting up to that point. Then she made "quite a few changes" to set it properly. Those changes are what you are seeing now.
I'm only guessing. The only other conclusion I can think of the earlier tech was pretty mixed up and maybe read you someone else data that was still in the programmer.

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.

THe two techs said the opposite - one said you're only pacing the ventrical lead and the other said you're only pacing the atrial lead. That doesn't make sense. I've never heard of a flip flop like that especially over a years time.
The battery life is an estimate based on how much the PM battery is being used. Less use means longer life. One guy on this site only gets one year out of a PM. So you're doing fine there
THere's a guy called pacerep that can tell you more specifics, but I think you have a miscommunication of some sort.
