I received a call from the Doctors Office today, and was informed that the "Recalled" Fidelis Lead wire was re-connected because it was working properly, and he saw no need to change it.
This does not justify the fact that I was not informed of this possible scenario prior to the operation. In addition I was not informed that the wire was re-connected following the procedure.
In fact, I learned about this via a Medtronic Rep. telephone conversation. Oh well..
Comments are welcome.

Polls or Brainwashing?

I took a look at the "POLLS" section posted here, and was just curious who is tabulating the results.
From what I see, the poll results are pro Corporate America, and everybody is happy.
The results are made to look like 100 % of those who responded to the questions are perfectly happy campers.
On the other hand, after reading the posted comments theindication is that the majority of commenters are not happy with Medtronic and the Lawsuit results.
Just wondering..

I wouldn't be here if it were not for this amazing technology inside of me.

In lue of all the lawsuits that have plagued the medical proffession the last few years its no wonder that companies are so quick to issue warnings of possible problems. I for the life of me can not believe your doctor would hook up a faulty lead wire and leave him or herself open to one of the million lawsuits that are going on, I could be wrong, which I probably am alot of the time, and have been told that often. Was your doctor wrong on not discussing with you before surgery about trying the lead out during surgery to find out if it was ok YES, I dont understand that and I would infatactly convey that very strongly to him or her as soon as possible, and get the answers. There have been a few recalled so called faulty leads on fidelas, I to have fidelas leads and have called my cardio doctor as soon as I find out about one to make sure I dont have one, which I dont know for a fact but there must be thousand upon thousand of models.
Im just trying to ease your mind a little because like I stated I can not believe your doctor would hook up a recalled lead to your pm, as you would own his practice. But like I said I would really sternly question him or her on the situation and get some really good answers to them as to why it wasnt discussed with you before hand.
sorry this was so long and I wish you all the best health, try not to get worked up until you confront your doctor face to face and do it as soon as you can.
