I have been reading the comments about people who are doing yoga with a PM. It seems everyone's PM is in their chest. I am on my 3rd PM, 27 years old, and due to some complications with my last replacement, my PM is now located under my ribcage. Does anyone else have a PM in this location?
If so, have you experienced any problems with inversion poses while doing yoga? I have recently started going to a yoga class and have been really enjoying it. Tonight while doing shoulder stand pose I felt like my PM was getting squished between my stomach and ribs. I am going to call my Dr. tomorrow morning and ask, but I thought some of you might have some insight tonight.
Thanks!

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.

I practice yoga and I am also feeling the pacemaker being "squished" and actually uncomfortable when doing certain poses. My PM is in my left upper shoulder/chest area. When I do the left arm across my chest/rotation It really pushes the PM in to my muscles and bone and hurts. So.... I have a rule that I apply to these types of moves and that is "If it hurts don't do it". No straining, no pain and remember to breath.
The inverted poses are ok for me. It's just the arm across to twist move and the "Thread a Needle Pose" that I can't do.
Yoga was not meant to cause injury or pain. If a person is suffering injuries from practicing yoga they are doing it wrong and need to find a better instructor.
