Had a little over three week vist today and the teck said that my next vist if the P/M was using the same amount of power from the battery that he would lower it to two volts, he said I was using lest them one volt and when I left the hosipatal they had it set at 4 volts to be safe until they know just how much I use.the P/M.. He told me the less you use it that the battery could last longer. The dr talked to be after and said everything looked great.. Thankful that I never had any pain and no problems Thank God . You all take care out there AL

Glad to hear all went well. WHat did you figure out about being around electrical equipment?

Voltage setting

Once the leads settle in this is a pretty well defined process. They run a test as part of the office check that determines the minimum voltage that will pace each chamber. Then a safety factor is added.

That sounds exactly like how they did mine, too! Start it off on a higher setting until the heart gets used to pacing and the leads settle in, then turn it back to preserve battery. Glad to hear you are feeling well!
