Lowering pacemaker voltage

My Medtronic pacer was placed in 2011. I had a routine interrogation and the NP stated to extend my battery life she was lowering my voltage setting. She stated I would not feel a difference. Since this was done 5 days ago and now I have been nauseous and now feel my pacing to a point of discomfort. Can this happen? I have noticed that I don't feel the weird thumping sensation when I would lay on my right side. But would rather have that then this nausea and discomfort. Any advice? My plan was to get back to MD or NP and have my original settings programmed back. Thoughts?

You know you're wired when...
Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.

My Pacer Tech lowered the voltage of my previous PM to make it last longer. It lasted over 12 years, so it worked and I was grateful. I did not feel any difference afterwards.
I am finding it difficult to believe that the voltage change caused you problems. It is possible though. It sounds like you are pretty confident that it has caused you the recent discomfort. If so, then you should get back in and have the settings reversed. Then you will know for sure.
