Hi All
I posted a message last week about returning to tae kwon do in the new year,my instructor said it would be fine as long as I stick to patterns( on wednesday) and not the " gladiator workouts"(on monday) which involve a lot pad kicking, sparring and extreme cardio training ,however, that is the part I will miss the most, maybe I can do a portion of that session, any help would be great.Regards

sparring

Kicking and extreme cardio should be fine with your drs approval, sparring is usually not recommended. It would be ok as long as the person you are sparring with is aware to avoid the pm and you understand a direct hit can still happen. You're not going to damage the pm, it's titanium, but it will hurt.
