Lone Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation and leads

Long story but will make it short.
I had a PM put in on October, 2011. I recieved a 3 lead PM.
I then got a very bad staph infection at sight and had to have the pacemaker removed. I spent 3 weeks in the hospital and left with a wound vac on original PM
The new PM on other side was a 1 lead and I was ok for a 6 weeks until I went to doctor and they did some adjustments.I was then completely breathless and to the ER and hospital stays two times. On the second time, he said he didn't know I had Lone Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation. I had only been seen him countless times and at least 12 Emergency room visits before with the Lone Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation. (He is not the one to do the first PM operation.)
I was shocked that the doctor put the one lead in because I have Lone Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation. I had to go to a third hospital and they put in a two lead saying that should have been done. Does any one know about Lone Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation and how many leads should be put in?
