My pacemaker was put in 8-12-2011. The past week and a half I have been experiencing a very strange tingling feeling througout my body. It is not painful but definitely uncomfortable. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I had my pm/icd put in 11/05 and have had tingling and burning since 1/06. Some days are worst than others, have had all kinds of tests, but everything comes back neg. Most of my tingling is in my legs, so I find it is best to elevate my legs when it is bad. I have also found, that the less salt/msg I use, the less tingling in my body. I have finally realized that it is a small price to pay for having pm, otherwise I would not be here.
I hope you are one of the lucky ones, and the tingling goes away.
prickly tingling

PM implanted left side 9/16/11.
Prickly tingling started 10/12, left side, from neck to waist. Was using left hand for light yardwork and such; maybe too much activity too soon? Now I'm back in a sling, which stops the tingling as long as I'm fairly still. Waiting for a callback from surgeon.

Following up on my 10/17/11 comment:
Saw my cardiologist and surgeon (who is also a cardiologist) today. They had not heard of my prickly tingling symptoms. The cardiologist speculates that arm movements may cause the pacemaker to move and rub a nerve the wrong way. The pacemaker will continue to move in the surgical pocket for a few months, until scar tissue builds up around it. So, if the tingling is caused by movement of the pacemaker, the tingling may go on for awhile. He advised I should keep moving my arm to keep muscles in shape; don't wear a sling.
prickly tingling - magnesium

Following up on my prior comments: A week after I saw cardiologist (to no avail) I still had prickly tingilng, so went to dermatologist. He suggested it might be caused by the magnesium (over the counter) I was taking, which was prescribed by cardiologist. I stopped taking magnesium four days ago and have not had symptoms since. So far so good. :)
Tingling/Burning

I had my defibrillator (Guidant ICD Model T177; Guidant Lead Model 0185) implant in May, 2006. Have had significant burning pain and tingling down both arms (from elbows to fingers) since my surgery. Doctors thought pain was unrelated to implant. Had EEG (nerve conduction test) and myelogram cat scan done thinking to be diagnosed with cervical neck issues. All tests came back negative. My neurosurgeon says only thing from here would be to remove ICD and have an MRI of my brain done. I am still undiagnosed. Pain is 24/7. I still think ICD is causing it. Has anyone out there experienced what I am going thru??? Thanks.

Tingling/burning

I had my pm put in 6/14/11 and I still have a "burning" sensation off and on all day long, around my pm. My dr says Iam still healing internally and it might be 3-6 mos that this happens. I am large breasted and that has also been an issue with all the "pulling" and needing continued support. It is not painful but VERY annoying - thank God its not all over my body. What does your dr tell you???
