Wonder?

I have posted before, and thank you for all of your answers. I still need to clear a few things up and I was wondering about - Has anyone heard of a person who may have had a second heart attack? After my heart attack and ICD was installed May of 2011, I no longer smoke (2 paks before), decaf coffee, no sugar, no fat, turkey-chicken-fish only and lots of potatos. Salads everyday. Exercise everyday. My echo shows everything upper side of normal, and my INJECTION FACTOR is 67%. I just wanted to throw this out there and hear from other. Thanks

Yes, it's quite possible to have a second heart attack, but it sounds like you are doing everything humanly possible to avoid it. Kudos to you for your accomplishments.

Heart attacks happen when blood flow is restricted to part of the heart, that's more about clear arteries than heart function.

Um, may I ask why lots of potatoes? I cut out all the whites- sugar, flour, white rice, potatoes, as well as anything processed, in an effort to get my triglycerides down. I eat mostly lean meat and veggies, with whole grains, fruit and nuts in moderation. I don't eat lowfat. I avoid saturated fats but eat the healthy fats in moderation- nuts, avocado, salmon. These oils are good for the heart.

in addition too

Not unusual at all..IIRC, Dick Cheney had multiple attacks. 5 of them to be exact. First at age 37.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
