Well, went to mm cardo today. Met the vendor/rep from St. Jude Medical and we went over my "nums. With my settings at 60-140 and RR, my upper chamber was tracking 25% and my lower chamber was @ 1%. In talking with the rep, I asked that since my "normal" HR while sleeping was between 50-60, is it probable that the 25% is mostly from my PM working a lot during this time period. He sez, probably yes. This is good news for me. I also asked for a definition of RR. Got it, and now I understand it better. He showed me his merlin machine that he uses and showed me much of the settings.
My cardo was happy about the "nums" and said that things were looking good. He also said I can start running again. I asked about changing the setting to 55-160. Not a problem. When the rep and I went to the other room to reset, he turned off the RR. He and the cardo said I didn't need it. My cardo also said something that got my attention. He said that when the heart is beating rapidly (like in jogging) there is better electrical conductivity in the heart. I need to read up on that.
Anyway, tonight when I got home, had a bite to eat, rested for about an hour, and went out for a jog. Boy, am I out of shape. !! But it sure as hell felt like I was in hog's heaven!! I am happy again.

Well, since last thursday when I saw my cardo, I have been jogging. I feel real good, sleep well. Since my RR is now turned off, I have not had a "dizzy spell". I feel good about that. I did a 2 miler in 21 minutes, that makes me happy because I have forgotten about my PM being there (if only when I run). There are some upcoming 5K/!0K runs in Oct., Nov. and Dec. that I'd like to try out, but for now, I am happy just getting back in shape. I don't see my cardo until late January.
I am getting back to my old ornery self.!!!

I'm happy for you! And a little jealous...haven't run in a few weeks since I've been passing out so much :( But it's good to hear that someone else has gotten the go ahead. And hopefully I'll be able to join you soon.
Happy Trails!
