Improvement

Hello,

I'm a 47 year-old male and I just had a Bi-val/ICD in July 2011 The process was somewhat complicated by the fact that I contracted Lyme disease two weeks before my surgery. My EF had previously been 15%, but dropped to 10%. My QRS was 180. Two weeks after surgery my EF was up to 25% and my QRS was 142. Can I expect more improvement in time, or is that more or less it? I don't really feel any better yet but I'm sure that's because of the Lyme disease.

But, according to the literature, there can be even more improvement with a paced natural conduction (see abstract by Hoyt at:

I have an ICD which is both a pacer/defib. I have no problems with mine and it has saved my life.
