Yeah, you can be cat scanned away. Like donr said MRI is where you don't need to be unless you have them MRI friendly PM. I work in the med field so I know pm's are cat scan friendly

With all the cat scans they had to do when I got hit by the SUV I would hope so. Head, chest, leg (3 times)... And as for the MRI my doc says they aren't as huge a problem as they once were. The leads used to be a big problem because they would heat up due to the MRI but that isn't as big a problem as it once was. But he still recommended against it if they could get what they needed with a CAT.

i had a few last year, cat scans and nuclear scans, but not mri.

It's the MRI that you have to be careful of. The MRI has a whopping magnetic field that your PM doesn't like. That is - unless you have a modern PM that is designed to allow MRI's.
