Thanks for the input on the transformers. Im still trying to learn what will bother me and what wont. What about my fishing boat motor? Im talking about a small fishing boat where you sit right next to the motor. I was wondering if this would be a concern more so because it has a magneto in the motor as opposed to a coil/distributor.

The magneto on most outboards consists of a magnet built into the flywheel that passes close to a coil. The north-south poles of the flywheel magnet are close together which should contain the field in a small area.
I have a 1000W Honda Generator I use with my trailer when camping. It uses a similar ignition system. I often pick it up and carry it while it is running with no problem.
With my 3rd degree block I would notice it instantly if anything interfered with the pacemaker. So far in 6 yrs with the pacer I haven't found anything that affects it.
The real risk is getting a fish hook caught in the pacer pocket in the heat of battle.
