HR Monitor watches

I had been looking for a Heart Monitor watch that would work with my pacemaker. I have tried everyone I could find. All the apple store had around Christmas 2012, that worked with the I phone, No luck. I tried the new Garmin Fenix, and 610,no luck.
I tried the Polar FT1, it seemed to work fine. I tried several of the Polar (FT) models and they all worked well. I have kept the FT4.
It had a replaceable battery and I liked that.
Note I even tried some on the watches that you put your finger on and They failed too. Try the Polar FT models and see if they work for you too, best of luck, Bob

Polar Heart Rate Monitor

Polar works for me too. I also use a FitBit. I like that too...it tracks your steps, miles, stairs, calories burned and sleep if you wear it at night...how often you wake up.

Happy exercising,

Hi,I also have been using the Polar FT 1 and it works fine on me.I have a Boston Scientific PM. My Garmin edge 500 did not work after I had the PM put in,just shows the expensive models are not always the best.Good luck Darren.

Sorry to hear about the Problems

I really wanted a Garmin Fenix so that I could do everything with just one watch. The chest strap, foot pod and external temp. It just wouldn't show anything on the screen with the chest strap. I was very disappointed.
I haven't tried a Suunto Ambit, but I had a Suunto GPS watch once and found it to be a bit difficult to use.
Too many layers to get through to do what I wanted and if I didn't use it daily I would get rusty and have to study the Manual the night before.
I don't know exactly what the Polar modals have that most others don't, maybe the coded system or the frequency they work on.
Keep up the good work, Bob
