Heavy legs / Problem to keep balance

I am 69. Had implanted 1 1/2 years ago a two chamber pacemaker SJM Accent DR after being diagnosed with Sinus node syndrom. Pulse at rest was 40, under exercise could barely go over 80 per min. Pacemaker now set at 60 minimum/ 130 maximum, with a sensor reacting to movement of the upper chest. When i exercise, puls does not increase on bike, goes to 100 when I walk, 120-130 on nordic walker, 130 on rowing machine (the latter makes me dizzy).
I hardly work up a sweat and do not get out of breath, but frequently start already out with legs like lead and have trouble walking straight.
My cardiologist attributes this to the fact that the nervous system is not always happy with the pulse set by the pacemaker, and the blood pressure is not in sync with the heart rate. Pre-implant I could easily work out for a full hour with 100 Watt resistance, now I barely manage 30 minutes at 50-70 Watt. Also, I have prolonged periods (usually several days) when I have these symptoms of weakness most of the active time of day.
Can anybody offer advice how to deal with problem?

Have they put you on a treadmill to watch what happens when you exert? It sounds like the pm is running your rate up too quickly. It can be tough finding the right balance for rate response but sometimes getting on the pm computer the same time as the treadmill can help fine tune it.

You know you're wired when...

You always run anti-virus software.

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
