I am a former patient who had valve replacement in 2009 and a pacemaker put in one week after the valve. I have been given the permission to begin a walking program and a program with a trainer to do light weights 3 times per week. I am loving it. I've lost 11 pounds and 10 inches already. I also love the walking. I'm up to walking anywhere from 30 min to 90 min 5 to 6 times per week (moderate level). I've noticed my BP machine is reading me a irregular heart beat message when I take my pressure after walking. It gives me about 3 of those and then stops. Is this normal. Should I consult my cardio? I don't want to stop exercising. I feel so good!

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
