You will be alright, i was scared too and cried when i found out i had to go in for pacemaker implant for first time last May 24th, a week before that i had a tricuspid valve replacement surgery done and i ended up with 3rd degree block so i had to get a pacemaker, after i woke up after i had pacemaker implant, i was surprised how i felt, i felt fine and good and energetic, no sick feelings. i got home next day, i am 28 yrs old myself, i started walking the next day and been doing alot of walking daily to today, now i just started bike riding and weight training and i feel good... so u will be fine and be positive...
I am waiting to get my 3rd PM &

altho I am getting to be an old hand at this I still am a little scared too. I was very, very scared on the 1st in 2000 but I feel so much better since I did it that I am sooo glad that I did it.
Let us know how good you feel afterwards,
Janet

To tell you the truth I never even give it a second thought. While growing up it never stopped me from doing anything and to this day my girlfriend or my kids need to remind me that I have one!

this entire deal is pretty easy. You won't have any problems! You will be better; technology is grand!!! Don't sweat being afraid; we all are afraid of the unknown. Anxiety is normal BUT hardly worth the trouble because this really isn't much of a procedure.
Hang in there, relax and let us all know how easy this was!!!!
