Stationary bikes

Are stationary bikes okay to use? I had heard somewhere that there are certain types of bikes that aren't safe to use. Does anyone know anything about this?

this doesn't make much sense to me, Except,of course right after your pacemaker is inserted I would not use a schwinn aerdyne-- they have handles and you shouldn't push or pull until your leads are sealed in heart tissue, Recomb bikes use legs only-- should be fine. In fact using a schwinn aerdyne with legs only should be fine too,
