Cans: I just looked at your history of posts & saw that you have PVC's.

I saw Frank's comment & would like to reinforce his thoughts.

PVC's are the most terrifying, yet most benign arrhythmias known. All because it feels like your heart stops beating momentarily. I know exactly what you mean because I've been there! BIG TIME.

I've heard my Cardio, his head nurse, my EP all say "They won't kill you!" I finally, after having perhaps 2 million of them, believe! I'm still here, writing to you.

You have to learn how to ignore them, & the only way to do that is to have enough of them & survive that you conclude "Gee, they really won't kill me!" and go on living. IT takes time. Anyone who says otherwise just has not experienced them in storms.

As best I know, beta blockers do NOT help kill PVC's. That takes a special anti-arrhythmic like Flecainide. The way I read Metoprolol, it will not kill PVC's.

My regimen includes Acebutolol & Flecainide plus my PM to control the PVC's. It works for me, bringing me down to about 2500 a day from whatever astronomical number I was having before. 2500 per day sounds like a lot, but it is only 100 per hour, roughly, or about 1 1/2 per minute. That I can tolerate. That does not say that you could or should have to. In the end, it depends on the person as to how frequently they can tolerate them.
