Pacer noise

I have had discovery 1283 for about 6 years -I have this noise that is like morris code or tapping at different times of the day. I notice it most at night. Would it be some type of setting that is monitoring me. I have been assured that the pacer has no moving parts so it is not possible, however I think I know a heart beat and a tapping sound with a bit of rythm. If anyone has any ideas I would like them.
