Follow-up to my question about softball

A few months ago I posted a question about what should I wear to protect myself while playing softball. My cardiologist cleared me to play as long as I protected my device (my PM is on the right side). I finally ended up purchasing a catcher's chest protector. I played this position the whole season and it worked out well. I tripped once scoring in a game but landed on my knee and not my chest. Still, it would be idea to be able to wear something when I am at bat that can attache to my shirt. Does anyone know of any sports gear that is made specifically to protect the chest other than a catcher's protector?

SORBOTHANE

Pick up some Sorbothane running shoes inserts. Get the kind that run the full length of the shoe. Patch the pair in a sewed pocket of a t-shirt. Sorbothane REALLY absorbs shock.

Hi NC sports Mom.

There is a product out on the market specifically for pacemaker protection. It's called Paceguard. It has been used for sports or other daily activities, Their website is www.paceguard.com. I know people who have used this and have had great results. Good luck.
