3 months and incision pain?

Had medtronic put in 12/17/10 and now my incision pain seems as bad (maybe worse). No oozing, etc. Just wondering if the pain (which is annoying rather than alarming) will subside? Thanks so much--you all are wonderful!

Too Long To Still Have Pain

by SMITTY - 2011-03-22 09:03:35

Your pain should be long gone by now. I've had two implants and neither caused pain for more than two weeks. I think it is past time for you to see your Dr about the paion.

Good luck,

I had my PM implanted on 11/19/10 and don't have what I would call pain. The scar line itself, on the outside, can become irritated from my seat belt if I drive for a long time, but other than that, I have no pain. Even a month ago the incision wasn't painful. About a month before that I had lots of pain in the area because of scar adhesions (I think) that must have been tearing and healing. That has all gone away now, though. See a doc when you can.

Twinging

I had my pm implanted on 11/29/10, and I still have what I can only describe as "twinging" from time to time at my incision site. It's generally at the end of the day, since the bra strap is right over it and exerting constant pressure.

incision sharp pain after +3 months

by peace - 2012-04-29 06:04:08

i still have sharp pain in the incision area. About 5 to 10 times in a day. I have seen the dr about 3 weeks ago and she sayd it is normal. The pain is more than annoying since it is so sharp, like a needle inside. I nearly stop breathing. It goes away after a few minutes.
How long will I have to endure this pain? Will it it go away? The pain does not last that long that I have to take a pill.
Apparently My PM is working more than 90% of the time.
Could that be related to the pain?
thanks to anyone who can help

my pm was installed January 20th 2012

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
