new pacemaker (box change)

just had my new pacemaker a week now. just fitted under my shoulder blade. its smaller than my last one. its still very sore, seems to move around alot! anyone else feel this after getting a new pacemaker?

Same Pocket?

Hi Elaine,

I was wondering if they used the same pocket? You mentioned your new one is smaller, did the anchor in down? Maybe it will take a while for scar tissue to develop. Just thinking outloud....

I had mine moved lower last week they used the same pocket, just lower. I am not experiencing any movement but then again it is now under my chest muscle.

hi heidi, well my dressing has not come off yet, i really dont know if it is the same pocket or not! they are not very imfomative. i had my old one for 12 yeas, i was thinking there is now a "gap" left because of that...id say hopefully when the tissue grow around it it will be more stable? for example, if i lie on my side for an hour or so...then change position i can kinda feel shifting...a little sore, but i guess i do only have it 7 days today.
