Hi
There is some info on the Optimization setting, posted by Pookie, and how when it was turned off all her unwanted symptoms went away. Can somebody please explain what the Optimization setting does and how it could cause unwanted symptoms?
Cheers Roy

When mine was done, the pm group had set up along with someone operating an ultra sounder. The pm group would watch the reading of the ultra sound and set the pm to were I was getting the best heart beat. I'm pacing 100% of the time.
As far as unwanted symptoms. Any change in the pm, you will feel it right off the bat. When adjusting, they will ask you when they think they have the best setting for you and go from there.

That is a very helpful response ... and, yes, it did make sense. I have just had my RR turned on and I feel that I am 95% there. I have changed 2 of the other settings including an increase in the upper tracking rate and so far so good. Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
Best Wishes
Ian

RR

Hi Ian,
When I had my RR turned on it solved most of my issues. When they switched it on, the tech did some other adjustments such as the upper and lower HR tracking which is different than my regular mode. I would think they can also change the sensitivity to determine when the RR will kick in. By making this change, my HR is able to go above the 130/my regular max. When exercising I am able to get my HR up while still having the benefit of the lower (max) duriing nowmal activity. That way of I start having sinus tachardia the PM will send impulses 2:1 to try and end the event. Hope that makes sense and I have my terminology correct :)
