civil defense alert

Today when the civil defense alert system came on it affected my pacemaker; this has never happened before.  I have been in the room when other alerts have gone off and it never affected my pacemaker. 

This alert was very high frequency and it increased my pulse rate and afterwards I felt weak. Has anyone had this experience?

What kind of civil defense alert?

What sort of system is it? How close to any of the electronics were you? Unless you were standing righ next to a very loud horn or speaker I can see it affecting you. Did it startle you?

I'm an electronic engineer and around all sorts of equipment with no problems.
