Another crazy "can I do this" question. Now that summer has finally arrived here in MN I am wondering if anyone out there has gone tubing or water skiing. Thinking of some of my past episodes on the tube and it can be rather rough and high impact so not sure that it's a good idea.

Hello,
As summer has arrived here in my home town in Northerwestern Ontario (finally) we have begun camping. I have had my PM since age 8, I am now almost 30. Every summer since I can rememeber after fully recovering from my implant I have been tubing or water skiing. My Cardiologist hasn't instructed me otherwise. I just went tubing this past weekend. I find my lifejacket helps against the impact when falling and as for the pulling on the arms/shoulders just make sure the start up isn't too jerky.
Enjoy your summer and water activities.

wait on this activity. Ask your cardiologist but that activity could be very rough on arms/shoulders and have a significant impact on the PM implant site. I am not an MD but common sense tells me to wait for at least 4 weeks post implant before doing those activities.

I was waiting for your post. Where is the Culligan Man when you need him.

I speak from experience. I remember bouncing off the surface at least 3 times before taking the final dip. I should never have told my wife to open the throttle wide so I could see what skiing at speed was like. The skiing was great, but the landing ///// splash. In those days I had brain block.

I was tubing and water skiing today. First time since PM surgery over 2 years ago. Felt great, except my back got sore.

I have had my pm for a little over a year--I failed to mention that in original post.
