Hi Everyone,
I am going to have my pacemaker and aterial lead replaced this Friday. The battery was getting low and with the radiation treatment and interrogation every day, for 25 days, really drained the battery. I have had my pacemaker for 8 years and my aterial lead has been deteriorating for over a year now. I will have to stay in the hospital overnight Friday due to the lead change.
Once my pacemaker is changed and working properly then I will have my esophageal cancer surgery the 1st week in June. All I have been doing is having dr appts, tests, bloodwork and getting ready for these 2 events.
Wish me luck
Tom

The following prayer always gives me strength
Let go Let God
Dear Lord, You are the great physician. I turn to You in my sickness asking for help.
I put myself under Your loving care praying that I may know Your healing grace and wholeness.
Help me to find love in this strange world and to feel Your presence by my bed both day and night.
Give my doctors and nurses wisdom that they may understand my illness.
Steady and guide them with Your strong hand.
Reach out Your hand to me and touch my life with Your peace. Amen
Caring thoughts, Jan
You know you're wired when...
You have the perfect reason to show off your chest.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
Get well soon!
