GOLF!!

Hi guys, gals!

How long did you wait until hitting the ball??? I'm at 7/weeks and my palms are itchy. The season is still in full swing. I get checked on 9/15.

I would ask...

The whole reason to wait is to allow your leads to heal.
Golf too soon and you're facing another op!
I was told to wait 12 (right after I bought new clubs too!!!)
and waited.
If I had to wait... so do you!

Seriously, I would ask your Doc. Better to be safe than sorry.

I was told 6 weeks

My Dr cleared me to play golf after six weeks. I tried after four and had a lot of pain. It was a big mistake. I believe I had stretched the scar tissue. I waited three more weeks and had no more issues. I got my pacer over a year ago and play every weekend without any problems. Each situation is different so if I were you I'd pass the question by the Dr. My guess is you would be good to play now.
I know what you're going through. I couldn't wait to get back on the course. Unfortunately I went back to soon.
Good Luck,
Bob

Start slow

Gary

I would start with a small bucket at the range, and see what you feel like afterward. I started slow to make sure that I didn't slow my recovand rip it.ery process.

I played 9 holes at 8 weeks and 18 holes a week later. No problems, grip it and rip !

So good to read how well you are adjusting! I would check with the doc. before I started swing clubs.... just as a precaution.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

p.s. it is raining here.... won't be driving the Porsche. :-(

But then again, I don't golf that much anyway
