I know this is going to sound very odd to say the least.... Here is what happened.
I was in my garage working on some "Bird Houses" I was holding one of the houses close to my chest to so I could get a good grip to use the wood glue. As I was applying pressure to the side piece I heard very clearly a nice beeeeeeeeeeep. I swear it came from my pacemaker.
Now I could be crazy and it could have come from something else, but nothing else was on in the garage. It was the weirdest of sounds. I have a check up with cardio in June so I will wait to see what happens. I have the "MERLIN" running all the time and I feel fine.
My questions are "Has anyone actually heard their pacemaker beep"? and if so what did it sound like? Also, Why would the PM beep at all because I can still feel fine?
Happy Easter, and no I have not been into the Easter wine yet. :-)

Ok, I will call the doc. tomorrow. I have an "Accent" PM and it does have many bells and whistles. The battery is good for 9 more years unless I have somehow drained the battery. I have been pretty busy lately but I don't think even I could use up 9 years! lol.
Thanks for the comments and suggestion.

They tend to complain when you crush them in their house. Are you sure it was a beep or could it have been a "cheep"
lol

I know beeps happen but at the same time Merlin should be watching you and would report if pm was running low. Look forward to talking to you and finding out what exactly is going on.
Miss you and thinking of you!

I also have a merlin to keep watch.AS i understand it one is on has to be about arms length from it for it to work?
Although light is on i think that is the power indicator.
How do i know this thing is working?I have not got much information about this equipment any help to encourage would be grateful for.
You know you're wired when...

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.

Hey there, it is not a crazy question, I have heard mine Beep, the first time it did I wasn't sure what to think, although because it is an ICD I was anticipating a thump to the chest next. Any way, Device's will beep if the battery is low, and will repeat every 8 to 12 hours depending on the device. There are also some other alerts that can be set, and I believe if my clinical knowledge remembers correctly St Jude devices do have some of these whistles and bells. I would recommend calling in and asking the tech.
