Hi all,
I've looked at Paceguard but does anyone know of any others? Seems rather expensive, well actually VERY expensive for what it is, combine that with Paceguard being USA based so can't even look at it before I commit to buying and shipping to UK.
Basically I'm looking at starting some martial arts soon...and I know I'll get the "but you have a PM and what if it gets knocked?" comments... i just need something to give me that extra confidence.
Evoshield does the recoil pad for shooting but I fear it may be too stiff.
Surely there has to be more than just Paceguard out there?????
Thanks.

There is a product out on the market specifically for pacemaker protection. It's called Paceguard. It has been used for sports or other daily activities, Their website is www.paceguard.com. I know people who have used this and have had great results. Good luck.
cavers are cheap

Being a caver, I always look for inexpensive means to fulfill my needs. I'm used to things getting beat up and I've learned that top-of-the-line and expensive don't always mean better.
One of my hobbies is furniture repair. That means I know a bit about sewing, padding, packaging, etc. Even handier is that it keeps extra materials around the house. When I need some padding for my device, I take some half inch closed cell foam. I've lost the original piece where I took a knife (serated and/or electric work well) and tapered the edges to smooth it out. However, since caving involves tight spots, I've found times where I need to remove this to fit. Without the foam in place, I can get through spaces 7.25" (18.4 cm) wide, and the extra 1.3 cm is noticed.

The only one I'm aware of is Paceguard. I've seen them, they're very well made and I've only heard positive feedback from other members who got them. Have you tried google? Or search the old posts here, this topic comes up fairly regularly.
