Ride the Rockies!!!!

Okay... new high cycling mileage week for this year (Sun - Sat) of 220. Now next week will be light, no riding Friday at all, and just a small spin on Saturday if I can work it in after rebuilding my bike in Gunnison. The the following week... 450+ miles. Should be fun!!!!!!! Really got to wonder how many other folks with pacemakers are doing Ride The Rockies this year!!!!????? Maybe if I found them we could set up a battery powered paceline!!!!!!! Or better yet, a paceline for pacers!!!!!!

I will be posting pictures from the ride up on facebook if I can to the Paced (as in Pacemaker enhanced) Athletes Group. If not just to my regular page.

Wish me luck folks. Lots of riding, lots of climbing... hoping to do okay for a FOG* (*Fat Old Guy).

First the Pacer, than being hit by the SUV, then the couple of years of surgeries and PT after being hit by the SUV to fix my leg (Still not 100% fixed, but lets me ride even if I can't run or do challenging hikes or climbing) but it feels good to finally feel like I am back. Next week I have my yearly physical and a pacer check right before I go on RTR's. Don't tell anyone but if something shows up I am going to tell both docs to stuff it. hit 175 HR on a climb today on my ride and smoked everyone else on my team so I AM READY!!!!!!

BradyBunch...I love the name.

Wow!! I'm impressed. I'm a cyclist also (mostly mountain) and scheduled to get a pacer in a couple of weeks. Your story gives me great expectations.

...you'll have to tell them to stuff it! You are outside their norm for allowable HR's for a PM host.

Remember that they practice based on ststistical data. To handle people beyond the 3rd standard deviation to the good side is not in their knowledge base. You are supposed to be "Sick," remember?

Good luck to you Sounds like you've still to locate your upper limit on capability!
