Pulmonary hypertension
Have any of you heard of pulmonary hypertension associated with pace makers? I have had my pm for about three months and am still experiencing shortness of breath usually when I get up in the morning, sometimes at night and often when I am exercising. Have this every occurred to any of you? I have had my pm interrogated for a second time but am still experiencing the shortness of breath. I am a worrier and just found this link to pulmonary hypertension and shortness of breath. I am not even sure you can have ph when you have a pm but now I am even more worrried. I have been hoping the shortness of breath would eventually go away but so far that has not happened. I went to a lung doctor and he said my lungs were fine. Am I worrying about nothing? Do I just need to give this more time?

Im working at a respiratory medicine research center and I would not think about PH just because of shortness of breath.
PH is a weird thing that usually ends up with a lung transplant. There are many other reasons that can explain the shortness of breath. Actually, less than 1 per 10000000 of sob are due to ph. You can ask your doc to check the reason of that sob but I would not worry too much.
Take care

I just found out today that I have pulmonary hyprtension that is caused by the pacemaker wires. I was floored. My echo showed it. The more I read the more confused I get, but think it is as serious as regular PH, but my doctor says I will still have the fatigue and sob.
You know you're wired when...
