Pacer Complications

This is my first posting, and I'm not to sure how this works but I'm hoping to get feed back or just more knowledge on pacemakers work or have worked for other people. I have had my pacer since December of 2008. I am 40 years old and I have had a hard time with this, because it had really change everything that I do. I am used to doing everything and I have had to slow down because I dont have the energy for much, I keep having episodes and they cant seem to adjust it right...I'm just confused...........................................

keep after your Dr.

I had to have 2 adjustments done after getting my pacer in 2005. I just kept telling my EP about how I felt and he picked up on what I was telling him and after that I have had zero problems for over 3 years. Don't stress it will happen and you should feel great. I now do everything and anything I ever did before. PM's are a wonderful thing. Bowlrbob

Patience and persistence

Welcome to the club Ilflores. As bowlrbob said "keep after the Dr. The Dr. is there to help. Many adjustment at times are needed and it takes time. Your Dr. may wish also to explore other cardiac/health concerns. Bottom line don't give up, be patient yet persistent to find the answers you need. Many of us have gone and are still going through this. The good news is that with answers, action can be taken to fix problems. You'll will read many postings stating that things have gotten a whole lot better . But, yes it will take courage , patience and persistence to get things right. Hang in there, for things will get better for yo liflores...........Wren Brandt
