Has anyone had this done for a similar issues? Any advice? My job is very physical, and I run marathons and triathlon in my spare time, so any recommendations for how long recovery wo...

Hello :)
I had my PM put in just over two weeks ago. The past 4 days I’ve felt a twitching in my left breast (muscle/tissue) when I laugh or move a certain way.
Ive called the clinic and got no answers, just an appointment for Tues 27th.
Its making me anxious but other than that I feel well, even when the twitching is happening.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Hi all
I’m 30 years old and booked in to have a pacemaker on 21st March (and have my loop recorded taken out). I am not overly anxious about having it done, I’ve had a few months to get used to the idea and hopefully it’ll stop me having the odd dizzy/fainting spell and means I can get my driving license back.
But I’m having it implanted under the muscle and wondered if anyone else could share their experiences about what the recovery is like - any tip...

HI my mum has just had a CRT pacemaker fitted. She has been such a youthful 84 year old, doing yoga, walking gardening but for the last 6 months she has had no energy. Last week she had her pacemaker fitted. We had hoped this would give her her Englert back but not yet😒
i was wondering if others could let us know if they noticed improvement straight away or did things improve over time. Unfortunately they had trouble finding the right spot for the third wire to the left side of the hear...

They've put me on these beta blockers for 30 days to help mitigate the PVCs. Now that I'm on them I keep hearing how hard it is to come back off of them.
Anyone else been on them only briefly? What was your experience? Thanks!

Hi pacers! have a question has anyone had a lot of problems with itching around the pacemaker site? I had my pacemaker implanted November 2 2017. Still have some problems. For the itching I've tried hydrocortisone cream, benadryl cream. I get some relief but it is short lived.
I am still having a lot of shoulder pain. continuing to try in exercise use heat before and ice after. I was back in the hospital 2wks ago for chest pain and Afib. And I had my pacemaker integrated...

When I got my first pacer back in Dec I noticed right away that my stomach felt full very quickly, like my food was sitting right up under my ribs. I wasnt pleased but joked that it was like getting gastric bypass and assumed I'd lose some weight. Fast forward two months and the pacer was removed, I immediatly felt like my old self and was able to eat normal portions happily. When the new pacer went in on Feb 6th I initially encountered way fewer symptoms; less beat awareness, fewer PVC...

I’ve had my post op appointment and IR. Doc doesn’t want to see me for 6 months. Is that normal? I’m antsy about waiting that long for another interrogation.

I am now seven (7) weeks post- implant. After the EP doctor told me that " everyone feels better" after pacemaker, i told him i did not think this is " true." I have read many comments about 1) lightheadedness 2) headaches, 3) rapid heart rate. I have experienced all of the above. As of today 1 and 2 have dissipated, but my reating heart rate is averaging 78 bpm. Before pacemaker due to missed beats, heart rate was 48 bpm. This new heaart rate made me jittery and uncomfort...

10 days ago I got my Pacemaker, cause my heart beats were far in-between, sometimes up to 5 sec. My pulse was between 40 & 60 beats per minute. My Doctor said I couldn't drive for a month, and I think he is being over cautious. My Doctor said to take it easy for about 3 months. I love exercising; jogging, swimming and some weights.

Hi alL,
Im a newbie to the site and to having a pacemaker. I had mine implanted just last Tuesday, 27th Feb. I’m yet to be seen at my first post op appointment at pacing clinic which is this Friday but I wonder if this is a ‘normal’ thing to happen. I will paste my notes below from what I’m keeping for when I see the cardiologist.
A fair few times now, I have felt the pacemaker ‘going off’ for 3 minutes at a time, it kind of fe...

Hi all! I’m in a bind here and hope to get advice. I’ve scoured the internet and haven’t found anything useful. I am currently in a hospital bed scheduled to have a pacemaker put in in about six hours. This all is rushing at me so fast. Long story short, I was in the hospital for testing related to seizures and they discovered that during a seizure my heart stops (for 3-5 seconds). Immediately they’re transferring me to another room and booking...

Hello, I am 4 weeks out from Having a Pacemaker implanted. It is a 3 lead with HIS Pacing of 35%, due to severe 3rd Degree Heart Block. I am doing great except for occasional Stabbing pain under my Left arm. Feels like a Bee Sting or maybe an electric Shock. It throbs for hours after. I assume it is just pinching of my Muscle or a nerve. Still some swelling but the incision looks great. Any Ideas? Have other people had this type of post-op...

Hello 😊 I am 25 years old. I was born with congenital complete AV block and I’m booked in to get a pacemaker on Monday.
I found out about my condition when I was 15 and have been told for the past 9 and a half years I may never need a pacemaker.
All of a sudden I got a new cardiologist who really wants me to get the PM put in - which is fine by me - better safe then sorry!
I joined this forum for advice on what to expect after surgery, will I feel the...

I’m not sure if it’s my imagination or not but I have a feeling that my pacemaker is moving about slightly, when laying down at night it’s high up in my chest but after walking about a bit it appears to have slipped down about 20mm (3/4 of an inch ). Has anyone else experienced this ?

Hello,
its been almost 6 months since I had my pacemaker installed. It still itches and my scar seems bigger then what I think it should be. Certain clothes bother it .im over protective over it. I have small children that want me to carry them all the time. I guess I just need reassurance that I’m taking care of it and also not letting it consume my world. I look at the scar all the time and ask my self should it look like this? Should I be able to feel it like this?is it suppose...
